Zip has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide AI-Enabled Spend Orchestration 2026 Vendor Assessment. It's the second time Zip has been named a Leader.

We believe spend orchestration is the workflow layer connecting stakeholders, processes, and data is where governed AI does the actual work of procurement, with the audit trails, controls, and governance enterprises are required to maintain. We also believe the IDC Marketscape recognition tracks that shift.

The 2026 IDC MarketScape credits Zip with "category-defining platform with the largest spend orchestration reference base." It also notes Zip is "one of the few providers with referenceable production deployments of agentic AI for procurement, with autonomous agents already executing tasks across the full procurement lifecycle."

From orchestrated workflow layer to governed AI

Earlier this month Zip unveiled Superagents, the first fully-governed and auditable AI agents in procurement. Every Superagent action is logged, auditable, and bound by the policies and approval chains a company already runs on.

That's what separates an autonomous agent enterprises can actually deploy from a general-purpose tool operating outside their oversight.

"We believe being named a Leader in the first IDC MarketScape validated the category we created. We also believe being named a Leader again, two years later, validates where we're taking it," said Rujul Zaparde, cofounder and CEO of Zip. "In Zip’s opinion, orchestration was never the end state. It was the foundation for AI to do real procurement work, with every action governed and auditable. That's what enterprises are buying now, and it's why the world's largest companies, including the world's leading AI companies, run their procurement on Zip."

What we believe is the proof behind Zip recognition as a Leader in AI-enabled spend orchestration

Today Zip powers procurement for more than 800 global enterprises, has processed over $1 trillion in spend, and has saved customers more than $10 billion through its AI platform.

A Forrester Total Economic Impact™ study released this June found that Zip delivers 386% ROI for large enterprises, with the platform paying for itself in under six months. Zip was also named a Visionary in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Source-to-Pay Suites, the youngest company ever recognized in the category.

For teams evaluating the category, the report advises considering Zip if midmarket and enterprise organization are seeking "a proven, commercially mature spend orchestration platform with full lifecycle coverage from intake through payment, particularly those prioritizing a strong reference base, AI-led guided buying experience, and a vendor with demonstrated ability to support complex enterprise deployments at scale."
